I was looking for an inexpensive bike for quick trips around town. I'm lucky enough to live within a few miles of my office and there's shops and restaurants in the area so I needed a bike to get me to and from the office and out and back for lunch. The bike looks very nice (the pics don't do it justice) and it ride well, the gearing works well here on flat roads. When I received it there were some major scratches on it, at least 3, but I can live with it. The bike was really dusty too, also one of the break pads fell off and I couldn't find the washers and bolts so I had to replace those for $15 dollars. Also since I lived in Canada I had to pay an extra $113 for Brokerage C.O.D fee with UPS, I was kinda disappointed in that since I wasn't told about that fee when purchasing... I am a bicycle novice and this is the first bike I've owned since my childhood.Purchased on a Friday, received on Saturday, box was in pretty bad shape. Upon opening I immediately noticed a pretty significant scratch on the left side of the frame. It's not worth making a big fuss about considering the cost of the bike, but I was a little disappointed. The bike was easy to assemble (even having never assembled one before) and I had to make minor adjustments to the brakes. There are no instructions but it should be fairly easy to figure out with a little common sense. It comes pre-chained to the single speed side of the hub (how I left it) but changing to fixed looks to be very simple. The parts are pretty cheap but the frame is solid. I will be replacing the uncomfortable grips and seat first, then the plastic pedals (which I quickly removed the toe cages from). The frame itself is beautiful.
